Location and hierarchy
The area belongs to Menghai County's western border geography. Bada on a label remains a broad source name unless a village, garden and production record are supplied.
Why this origin matters
Bada helps explain Yunnan's tea biodiversity and the distinction between wild relatives, managed old gardens and modern cultivated tea. Those categories have different scientific, conservation and commercial meanings.
How to read the market name
Do not accept 'wild tea' as a premium adjective without a botanical identification and lawful sourcing. For ordinary Bada tea, village and batch information are more useful.
Practical guidance
Classify any Bada claim first as cultivated tea, managed old-garden tea or identified wild plant material. Only then compare sensory character.
Identification and caution
Wild does not automatically mean safe, suitable for drinking or legally harvestable.
