Why this origin matters
Fujian is not one tea origin but several influential craft worlds. Northern Fujian shaped Wuyi oolong and early black tea, southern Fujian developed ball-rolled oolong, and the northeast coast is closely associated with white tea.

A Fujian label should still identify the subregion and tea family. 'Fujian oolong' cannot tell you whether the tea is Wuyi rock tea, Anxi Tieguanyin or another local style.

Identification and caution
Protected geographic names and famous cultivar names are frequently used loosely. Verify county, producer and process instead of relying on the front label.
