Identity and origin
Shuixian is a widely planted oolong cultivar capable of floral fragrance, broad body and strong aging or roasting potential. Wuyi-grown examples form a major rock-tea category.
Craft and leaf style
Leaf maturity and strong stems support repeated shaking, oxidation and roast. Older bushes may be marketed separately, but age claims need evidence.
Aroma, taste and texture
Orchid, narcissus-like floral notes, wood, mineral and soft fruit may appear around a broad, smooth texture.
Practical guidance
Use 6-8g per 100ml with boiling water; allow slightly longer later infusions.
Identification and caution
Treat 'old bush' as a traceability claim, not a flavor adjective. Ask for garden and producer evidence.
