Duyun Maojian is a fine curled green tea from Guizhou's highland environment, adding an important southwestern origin to the map of famous Chinese greens.
Craft and leaf style
Tender leaves are fixed, rolled and dried into fine curls with visible down. Even heating is needed to avoid smoky or raw-green notes.
Aroma, taste and texture
Fresh bean, floral sweetness, chestnut and a bright, brisk mouthfeel are common.
Practical guidance
Try 2-3g per 250ml at 80-85°C for 1-2 minutes.
Identification and caution
Fine down is natural but not a standalone grade marker; judge liquor clarity and freshness.
