How to use it
Warm gently rather than moving a cold vessel directly to boiling water. Use tall glasses for delicate greens, lidded pitchers for cold brew and small glass gaiwans when visual comparison matters.
How to choose one
Look for heat-safe labeling, smooth rims, stable bases and a form that can be cleaned by hand. Double-wall glass insulates but can hide trapped water if seals fail.
Cleaning and care
Avoid metal abrasives and sudden temperature change. Tea film can be removed with soft tools and appropriate food-safe cleaner, then rinsed thoroughly.
Practical guidance
Use a 250-350ml tall glass for Longjing, Biluochun or Taiping Houkui, choosing the size by leaf length and leaving cooling space.
Identification and caution
Clear appearance does not prove heat resistance. Decorative or ordinary drinking glass may crack under boiling water.
