Identity and origin
Fuzhou jasmine tea is created by repeatedly scenting finished tea with fresh jasmine blossoms. True scenting transfers aroma naturally; it is different from adding flavoring oil.
Craft and leaf style
Tea base and opening jasmine flowers are layered or mixed, rested, separated and sometimes re-scented through multiple rounds before final drying.
Aroma, taste and texture
Fresh jasmine, magnolia-like floral lift, sweetness and a clean tea base should feel integrated rather than perfumed on the surface.
Practical guidance
Use 3g per 250ml at 80-90°C for 2 minutes, or cold brew for 4-6 hours.
Identification and caution
Ask whether the tea is traditionally scented, blended with dried flowers or artificially flavored; these are different products.
